Come explore the vibrant world of colored pencils with Sandra Davis! In this step-by-step class we will practice various techniques such as blending and impressed lines to create a beautiful animal drawing. This class is appropriate for all levels of experience as Sandra will provide demonstrations and individual input as you color your artwork. In this relaxed setting you will create a beautiful artwork all your own.

24 pencil set - Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Pencils (click on link below)
Kneaded Eraser
Pencil Sharpener (electric or manual)
Mechanical Pencil - such as what you can buy at the grocery store. (Simple plastic mechanical pencil is fine.)
Optional - A soft brush to wipe crumbs from your work - 1 inch or larger works nicely to reduce smudging.
Optional - A drawing board can help keep your work tilted and your head and neck in better alignment.
Sandra Davis is a Denver area fine artist and graphic designer. Having earned a degree in visual fine art she has received numerous awards for her artwork in exhibits throughout Denver and the front range.
Her preferred medium is color pencil, creating highly detailed portraits, landscapes and still life. Her work highlights beauty and inspiration from everyday life.
Sandra also enjoys teaching art courses to both adults and children. She is an active member of the Paletteers Art Club, the Lakewood Arts Council, the Mountainside Art Guild, and the Wheat Ridge Art League.
Sandra enjoys serving the local creative community as a District III Commissioner on the Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission and by organizing a monthly Artist Round Table exhibit and discussion group.
